Grass is grown and cut in the same way as hay but left to dry for less time (approximately 30-40% moisture). After baling, bales are wrapped straight away to retain moisture. Natural fermentation preserves the grass as haylage which is highly nutritional and without dust and spores.
Our haylage is made from mixed ryegrass leys which are managed so they are free from weeds and of optimum nutritional value.
